The Hamilton Association for Community Living

The Hamilton Association for Community Living provides individually planned and tailored supports to:

Individuals and families - Linking them with the resources they need to access typical preschool services, adult and children’s respite services, supported housing, skill development for

community living, workplace literacy classes, and award winning employment supports.

Providing direct services and supports including:


•   Pre-school & Family Support •   Special Services at Home •   Alternate Care

•   Adult and Children’s Respite Care •   Adult Residential Services
•   Community Participation Supports •   Employment Supports
•   Individualized Funding -Passport to Community •   Supported Leisure Activities
•   Volunteer Resources

Planning Process - Representing the interests of people with intellectual disabilities on advisory committees at community colleges, universities, advocacy coalitions, parents’ groups and with the local, provincial and federal governments.


Government - Working on behalf of people with intellectual disabilities and their families to influence the development of new legislation and policies that improve the quality of life for citizens with disabilities.
